The Cleveland Comedy Festival is very proud to have Marina Franklin performing in the 2014 CCF. New-York based Marina is emerging as one of the hottest comedians in the comedy scene today, with such notable appearances as Correspondent on The Jay Leno Show, Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show, Awkward Comedy Show, Chapelle’s Show, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, NBC’s Last Comic Standing Season II, VH1’s Black to the Future, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, MSNBC, Showtime at TheApollo, John Oliver's New York Stand-up Show and Showtime’s Women Who Kill. Marina was also one of a handful of comics selected by Wanda Sykes and The OWN Network for Oprah’s Herlarious special and recently appeared on Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer and @midnight.Contest Finals

The 2014 Cleveland Comedy Festival Contest will feature 48 of the funniest up-and-coming comedians from all over the U.S. competing for a top prize of $2,000. Each prelim show will feature 12 comics. Top 2 will advance the Finals on Sunday 11/23. There will also be a Wild Card show on Fri 11/21 for eight 3rd & 4th place prelim finishers to try to make the Finals. Audience vote will count for 50% of the results so come out to support your favorite comedian.Contest Prelims

If you enjoyed the TV shows Everybody Loves Raymond, Seinfeld and Mad About You, you'll want to join us for an unscripted panel discussion with three of the comedic minds behind these shows and others. Steve Skrovan (Everybody Loves Raymond, Hot In Cleveland), Marc Jaffe (Seinfeld, Mad About You) and Lisa DeBenedictis (Mad About You, Dream On) will share stories of their careers in TV and discuss why so many great writers, producers and comedic actors hail from Cleveland. The show will be moderated by Mike McIntyre (WCPN Sound of Ideas, Cleveland Plain Dealer) and will feature a special introduction by Ivan Schwarz, President of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission.10% of the proceeds from the Cleveland Writes! show will go directly to support Shaking With Laughter, a non-profit organization founded by Marc Jaffe to fight Parkinson's disease.Cleveland Homecoming
