2011 Cleveland Comedy Festival Contest
- Open to all professional and amateur comedians who register online and pay the submission fee of $25.00 by October 31, 2011
- Comics from all over the U.S. are eligible.
- Top 36 comedians will be selected from all paid submissions by the festival performance committee
- Preliminary shows on Tuesday November 15 – Thursday November 17 at PlayhouseSquare’s Kennedy’s Cabaret. 12 comedians per show. Top 3 will advance to Final. 6 minute set time in Prelim shows.
- Contest final on Friday November 18 at PlayhouseSquare’s 14th Street Theater. 8 minute set time in Contest final.
- 1st place will receive cash, possible paid work at Cleveland-area comedy clubs, a DVD of your finals set, $400 in clothing gift certificates from M Lang and professional photography headshots.
- 2nd place will receive cash, $100 in clothing gift certificates from M Lang, a DVD of your finals performance and professional headshots.
- Submission fee of $25.00 is non-refundable and does not guarantee you a spot in the contest. Only 36 comedians will be selected to compete.
- In addition to the 36 contest spots, there are a limited number of un-paid performance spots available in our showcase and affiliate shows. There is no cost to apply for just these spots. Please complete the form below and indicate that you’d like to be considered for one of these spots.
- You may apply for both the contest and a showcase spot if you like. Please complete the PayPal process after you submit the form to be eligible for one of the 36 contest spots.
